Oh baby it’s cold outside. We gotten hammered in NYC yesterday, though it was mostly the wind that became our undoing (50 mph).
So when it’s cold I crave the three Cs: covers, cocoa and cuddles.
But we should add an S to that, for soup. Being the woefully lazy cook I am in the wintertime I primarily make casseroles, breads and soups. This week celebrates the wonderful nature of this liquid cure-all in my series: Week of Soup. Today’s offering: Thai Curried Butternut Squash Soup.

What are these? Don’t know but think they look good? Read on to find out what they are!
Hello new followers and welcome to my blog. Thank you for joining me on my kitchen adventures! :)
mmm… desserts. Actually that title is a lie, I lost a modest amount last month so I’m still fighting to tone up and lose the last 3 pounds. Whoop!
Though I am still sick and very much deficient in good food, I still found time to do pantry challenge 2010! So I am clearing out the pantry in prep for the busyness that is NYE (it’s a tradition in my family). The last thing will be Black Eyed Peas on New Years Day — brings good luck, so I’m told.
Here is one of my favorite pictures of the bunch — Lemon Cranberry Apple Muffins a.k.a Pantry Muffins
